Bio of Louis Parley, Esq.

Mr. Parley is a graduate of the city college of New York (B.A., 1966) and the George Washington University Law School (J.D., 1969). He also holds an LL.M. from the New York University Law School (1971). He is a member of the Connecticut Bar, and is also admitted to the federal courts for the District of Connecticut, the Southern District of New York, the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. As a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, he is on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section and is Editor-in-Chief of the Connecticut Family Lawyer. He is also a member of the Professional Ethics and Continuing Legal Education Committees. Mr. Parley is a member of ATLA, the American Bar Association, the American Orthopsychiatric Association, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. In both the ABA and AAML, he is a member of the ethics committee. He is the author of Lindey & Parley, Separation Agreements and Antenuptial Contracts (Mattthew Bender & Co.) and of The Ethical Family Lawyer, (American Bar Association, 1995). His most recent articles have appeared in the Family Law Quarterly and Fair$hare. He practices law in New Haven, Connecticut.
